Discovery
Students, especially those starting college or university, face significant financial challenges. These difficulties are compounded when they are unfamiliar with their surroundings, such as local shops and services that offer student discounts. The goal of the Savvy app is to help students discover these resources and discounts, making it easier for them to manage their finances and daily activities.

Reflection
I gained valuable insights into designing solutions that address the unique challenges students face in managing their finances and discovering affordable options in a new city.
Through understanding user needs, I crafted a UI that combines functionality with ease of use, helping students quickly locate discounts and make smarter financial choices.
This project emphasized the importance of a user-centered design approach, as well as the impact of intuitive navigation and visual clarity in enhancing the overall user experience.
Background
Starting college brings excitement and a sense of independence. However, beneath the thrill lies growing responsibility as students face new challenges in managing their lives on their own.
Students quickly realize they need to balance daily tasks like commuting, groceries, meals, and buying study materials. For many, it’s overwhelming, especially when they’re unfamiliar with the city.
With limited budgets, students begin to grasp the importance of saving wherever they can. From food to entertainment, finding student discounts and managing finances becomes essential for sustaining their lifestyle.
Problem Statement
"Students face challenges in managing daily expenses and finding discounts, particularly when adjusting to a new city, making financial management more difficult and overwhelming."
